Chuck Dawson

President and Chief Executive Officer

Chuck Dawson

Chuck Dawson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Harland Clarke Holdings Corp. and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Harland Clarke. The holding company oversees Harland Clarke, Harland Financial Solutions and Scantron.  Mr. Dawson sits on the board of directors of  M & F Worldwide Corp. (MFW), the parent company to Harland Clarke Holdings Corp.

Prior to his current positions, Dawson served in other leadership roles as President and Chief Executive officer of Clarke American Corp., Executive Vice President/General Manager of Partnership Development and as Senior Vice President/General Manager of National Account/Securities/Business Development. The company included Clarke American Checks, Inc., Checks In The Mail, B2Direct, and Alcott Routon; all remain subsidiaries and/or brands of Harland Clarke.

Dawson's more than 30 years experience in the security printing industry includes being the Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mountain Bank Note before joining Clarke American in 1993. He began his career with IBM. Mr. Dawson holds a B.A. in Marketing and an M.B.A. from Lamar University.

Steve Albright

Executive Vice President & General Manager, Marketing Services

Steve Albright

Steve Albright is currently the general manager of Harland Clarke Marketing Services, a role he has held since the companies combined in May of 2007. Prior, Steve served as the President of Liberty since November 2005. He began with Harland in 1981 working in sales and sales management and has been in general management since 1992. In past roles, Steve served as Executive Vice President, Liberty Sales and Marketing, and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Care for Harland Printed Products. He also held leadership positions in Business Services, Strategic Alliances, Product Marketing, Direct Marketing and Investment Services, eCommerce, Small Business and Consumer Marketing. Steve earned his Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University.

Peter A. Fera, Jr.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Peter A. Fera, Jr.

Peter Fera was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2007. Fera was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer prior to his promotion to Executive Vice President. Previously, Fera had been with Honeywell for seven years and held a variety of leadership positions in finance and marketing. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer for the Aircraft Landing Systems business of Honeywell from October 2003 to April 2005 in South Bend, Indiana. At Honeywell, he also served as Director of Finance-Business Analysis and Planning from February 2002 to October 2003 and Global Marketing Manager from October 2000 to February 2002. Earlier in his career, he held operational and engineering roles at General Electric. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in mechanical engineering, Fera also earned a M.A. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management.

Judy Norris

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Judy Norris

Judy Norris was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel in September 2006. Prior to joining Clarke American, Norris was in-house counsel for Blockbuster, Inc. from 1998 until 2006, with her most recent position as Senior Vice President and Co-Head of the Law Department. While at Blockbuster, an NYSE-listed company, Norris had experience in a variety of domestic and international business operations as legal counsel, including litigation and compliance, government affairs and advocacy, international matters, securities reporting, consumer and privacy matters and vendor contracts. From 1983 until 1998, she was a partner at Thompson & Knight, P.C. with a complex commercial and antitrust litigation practice.  Norris holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee. Norris was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1983.


 

LaRhesa Moon Pollock

Senior Vice President Corporate Communications

LaRhesa Moon Pollock

LaRhesa Moon Pollock was promoted to Harland Clarke's Senior Vice President Corporate Communications and Performance Excellence in 2007.  Pollock was appointed Clarke American's Vice President Corporate Communications in January 2006. Prior to assuming the Communications role, Pollock developed and implemented key marketing strategies for the company's largest financial institution partner as a Vice President Marketing. Pollock joined Clarke American in 1996 as Director of Communications. Her twenty-year career spans international advertising and marketing, brand management, publishing, and strategic communications. Pollock received her B.A. from Texas A&M University. In 2002, she completed the Executive Program at Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Children's Shelter of San Antonio.

David W. Porter

Senior Vice President Human Resources

David W. Porter

David Porter was appointed Senior Vice President Human Resources in January 2007. Prior to assuming his current role, Porter held various positions at Checks In The Mail including Vice President / General Manager, Senior Vice President Finance and Vice President Human Resources and Performance Excellence. At Clarke American he previously served as Vice President Human Resources and Performance Excellence. Prior to joining Clarke American in 2003, Porter served in a variety of leadership positions at Cessna Aircraft Company and Bombardier Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida. His professional certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources, Certified Management Accountant and Certified in Financial Management.

Steven L. Reynolds

Steven L. Reynolds

Steven Reynolds has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer since January 2004. Prior to joining Clarke American, Reynolds was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Pegasus Solutions, where he spent eleven years. Prior to Pegasus Solutions, he spent ten years at Texas Instruments in the Information Systems and Services Division, where he held several positions in IT development, operations and management. Reynolds earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M at Commerce in 1982.

Dan Singleton

Dan Singleton

Dan Singleton is Executive Vice President responsible for Payment Solutions Sales and Marketing, Customer Sales and Service, and the Forms Division.  Singleton has over 18 years experience in the security printing industry.  He joined Clarke American in 1988 serving in various positions including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the National Account Division from July 1997 to November 2000.  In 2000, he transferred to Indalex Aluminum Solutions, a sister company at that time, where he held several executive level positions.  His last role at Indalex was Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and International.  He rejoined Clarke American in January 2006 as Senior Vice President of Partnership Development.

Singleton holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.


 

Alan Westfall

Alan Westfall

Alan Westfall has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since May 2006. Prior to assuming his current role, Westfall served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Checks In The Mail from July 2000 to May 2006. During his 26 years in the security printing industry he has held various positions at Clarke American, including Plant Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Vice President and General Manager of the Business Products Division and Executive Vice President of Operations. Westfall holds a B.A. in Organizational Management from Warner Southern College and has completed the Executive Program at Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. He currently serves on the board of the Check Payment Systems Association.

Brad Wheeless

Senior Vice President Administrative Services

Brad Wheeless

Brad Wheeless has served as Senior Vice President of Administrative Services since August 2006. Prior to assuming this role, he held a wide range of positions over his 20 years with Clarke American including Senior Vice President of Security and Partner Support, from January to August 2006; Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, from May 2004 to January 2006; Senior Vice President of Human Resources and First in Service Performance Excellence, from August 2000 to May 2004; Vice President and General Manager of the Credit Union Division; Vice President of Corporate Quality; Acting Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer; and Controller and Vice President of Operations Accounting. Prior to joining Clarke American, Wheeless was employed by Texace Manufacturing as Vice President of Finance.  He began his career at the national accounting firm of Seidman & Seidman.  Wheeless holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Sam Houston State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
